TSM has eliminated Immortals from the lower bracket of the 2021 League Championship Series Championship in a 3-1 victory. TSM will look to extend its season next against Cloud9, while IMT's 2021 season has run its course.

TSM began its post-season in the upper bracket and received a first round bye due to the team's 1st place finish in the regular season.

TSM's first match was against a surging TL who had just defeated Cloud9 3-1, and TSM met the same fate as C9 and found itself in the lower bracket while TL qualified for the 2021 World Championship. Immortals, who started in the lower bracket, 3-0'd Dignitas to meet TSM.

The series featured the same storyboard for all four games: When Immortals was unable to press TSM through its lackadaisical early game, TSM won the game with superior teamfighting and macro from the mid game onward. The one game Immortals won was game 3, which featured a far quicker, bloodier pace early on that through TSM off-balance and shined a light on a potential way to win the series for IMT.

Unfortunately for IMT, one TSM nexus was all it was able to crack, and the series ended after four games. Immortals is the sixth LCS team to have its 2021 season come to a close following Evil Geniuses, Dignitas, Golden Guardians, FlyQuest, and Counter Logic Gaming, with the latter pair missing the post-season entirely due to respective ninth and tenth place finishes in the regular season.

TSM and C9 will battle it out next to see who qualifies for the 2021 World Championship alongside Team Liquid and 100 Thieves, and while C9 is notorious for clutching out the 3rd seed, TSM's championship run last summer occured entirely through the lower bracket. The series should be competitive, but Cloud9 top laner Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami, as he did before C9 3-0'd EG, has predicted a 3-0 win for C9 to qualify for Worlds 2021.

In a post-game interview on the LCS stage after TSM defeated IMT, TSM jungler Mingyi "Spica" Lu was asked by Gabriella "LeTigress" Devia-Allen if he was aware of Fudge's one-sided prediction for the series, and the jungler was clearly caught off guard. Spica couldn't help but break into a smile after brief wide-eyed shock in reaction to the confidence behind Fudge's prediction. Spica chuckled before retorting, "Fudge must be smoking some good stuff."

TL and 100 will face off in the upper bracket to see who qualifies for the finals of the LCS Championship undefeated. The loser of TSM vs. C9 will be eliminated from the post-season, while the winner will guarantee itself one of three Worlds 2021 seeds and a match against the loser of TL and 100's upper bracket match to see who will be the other team in the finals.
