After over a year of constant player complaints about cheaters in Warzone, Activision announced that a brand new PC anti-cheat system is coming to the game in the weeks leading up to the launch of Call of Duty Vanguard on November 5th.
According to a blog published by Activision on Thursday, a "new PC Anti-cheat system across the entire experience" will be included alongside a new World War 2 themed main-map in Warzone. Unfortunately, they supplied little information about the anti-cheat system other than announcing that it will be coming before the launch of Vanguard.
The cheating issues in Warzone have been so bad in recent months, that many of the games largest content creators like Nick Mercs, Tim the Tat Man, and Dr. Disrespect have all to different extents quit the game in search of greener pastures.

Even with the announcement of the new anti-cheat system, the developers of Warzone Raven Software face an uphill climb to regaining the trust of their players, many of whom are exploring other titles like Apex Legends or the upcoming Battlefield 2042. On top of failing to effectively curb the cheating problem, many players have criticized Raven Software for their silence toward the issue of cheating. The company really only addresses cheating once every few months with ban waves, and beyond that has remained relatively silent on the issue before Thursday's anti-cheat announcement.
For now, we will have to wait for the implementation of the new anti-cheat system to see if it can actually make a difference and end the hegemony of cheaters in Warzone.
