The all-new Marshal pistol was added into Warzone Sesaon 5 on Wednesday. The break-action pistol comes loaded with two 12 gauge shotgun shells that are deal a significant amount of damage up close, but are next to useless outside point blank range. While the gun is marketed as having a one-shot kill potential, a true one-shot kill with the Marshal isn't very likely, especially on an armored opponent in Warzone, so you are going to want to run these akimbo to stand any chance of that instant kill.

We hopped into Warzone to test the new weapon and figure out what the best attachments are to make the most deadly Marshal Akimbo loadout in Warzone Season 5.

How to unlock the Marshal

Before you can use the Marshal, obviously you will need to unlock it. To unlock the Marshal, you will need to acquire one headshot in 15 matches using a pistol. It doesn't matter which pistol you use. You also don't have to complete the match for the headshot to register, so if you are in a hurry you can get your headshot, jump out of the match and join a new one.

Best attachments for the Marshal Pistol

  • 6.5" Cut Down barrel
  • Standard Ammo
  • Akimbo

6.5" Cut Down barrel

The 6.5" Cut Down barrel is designed to increase your effective damage range and bullet velocity slightly. With the extraordinary range limitations of this setup, you are definitely going to want to run with the Cut Down barrel, and even with that, prepare to be disappointed by this gun's effective range.

Standard Ammo

You can only use Standard ammo and Dragons Breath on this pistol. The Dragons Breath has lower hit damage, even though it does some fire damage on the back end. Generally speaking, the only viable way to run the Marshal is by focusing on getting those instant kills, so the initial burst damage is something you won't want to compromise.

Akimbo

You will definitely want to dual-wield this gun since it is the only chance you have to get a "single-shot kill". By firing both guns at the same time from point-blank range, you can sometimes instantly take out a target. This can be effective for clearing a building, but even in its Akimbo form, these pistols are more of a gimmick than a serious strategy.

This isn't going to be a meta weapon, but if you are looking for a fun alternative to pistols, the Marshal is worth a try!
