The Monk in Diablo 3 is the fastest class currently in Season 24. Although it is not the strongest class, it's great ability to clear rifts and farm new items is a charm.

1. Ethereal Weapons

Bartuc's Cut-Throat
Jade Talon
Shadow Killer

The three available Monk Ethereal weapons are Bartuc's Cut-Throat, Jade Talon, and Shadow Killer.

For this build, we need Bartuc's Cut-Throat. Its second unique option should gain one of the unique passive skill options. These include: Near Death Experience, Harmony, Seize the Initiative, Beacon of Ytar, Momentum, and more depending on the build.

There are multiple options for the first unique option. For example,  "Chance to double your attack speed when attacking," which is the option for Flying Dragon. However, this could change depending on what you have for the other 1-Hand weapon and Kanai's Cube. For details, check out 3. Kanai's Cube and 1-Hand weapon section below.

3. 1-Hand weapon and Kanai's Cube

Monks wear two different 1-Hand weapons. For Season 24, one should always be an Ethereal weapon Bartuc's Cut-Throat. The other weapon and the one for Kanai's Cube differ for everyone depending on what options you got on the ethereal weapon and personal taste.

You need to think about the combination of these three:

  1. The first unique option of Bartuc's Cut-Throat
  2. The other 1-Hand weapon
  3. The weapon slot in Kanai's Cube

There are many options for these three slots. The one must-have option for every build is

  • Flying Dragon or "Chance to double your attack speed when attacking" on the Ethereal weapon.

For the other two slots, here are few of the possible options:

  • In-geom
  • Messerschmidt's Reaver
  • Crystal Fist
  • Echoing Fury
  • The Furnace

Bindings of the Lesser Gods
Ring of Royal Grandeur

The other two slots in Kanai's Cube should be Bindings of the Lesser Gods and Ring of Royal Grandeur.

5. Last tips for Season 24

If everything is set up properly, you’ll be able to run Level 100+ Greater Rifts without much trouble. Once things are set up, you’ll be hunting for better weapons and equipment, but it’s also important to farm a lot of Bounty Materials. By the time you’ve applied Caldesann’s Despairs on your equipment, you’ll have plenty of Forgotten Souls. When you do, what you should be collecting is the Bounty Material.

There’s a chance to gain Primal Ancient Legendary items from the Kanai’s Cube by reforging legendary items with the Law of Kulle — which requires Bounty Material. This will make it easier for you to gain items with good options without needing to farm new ones all the time. Especially for your accessories which are usually harder to gain.

You will also need Bounty Material for forging the Aughild’s Authority and Captain Crimson’s Trimmings, so the more the better.

Some additional boosts available are setting up your Followers. You can find the Followers’ guide here.
