Evil Geniuses top laner Jeong "Impact" Eon-young has set a new record in the League of Legends Championship Series. In EG's final game in week 7 of the 2021 LCS Summer Split against Dignitas, Impact's 2801 gold lead at 10 minutes over DIG top laner Aaron "FakeGod" Lee was the largest of any individual at the 10-minute mark in the history of the LCS.

On his signature Renekton, Impact lane-swapped with the Ryze of EG mid laner Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro because of Renekton's priority against both the Volibear of FakeGod and the Irelia of Dignitas mid laner David "Yusui" Bloomquist. Despite EG jungler Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen giving up first blood to DIG jungler Matthew "Akaadian" Higginbotham before the two-minute mark, EG took control of the game early on with seven straight kills.

Impact's Renekton is one of his most fearsome picks, but the advantages the Evil Geniuses top laner was able to gain on the Butcher of the Sands was otherworldly. Impact solo killed FakeGod and Yusui within a four-minute window early on as EG took over the entire map, and ended the game with a 6/2/12 scoreline after EG dove the DIG fountain a few seconds before winning the game.

Impact's performance was so dominant that Golden Guardians mid laner Nick "Ablazeolive" Abbott tweeted that he had no idea how GG had stopped Impact's Renekton in the Golden State Warriors affiliate's win over Evil Geniuses earlier in the week.

"I caught out both mid and top, and as soon as I killed the second champion, I killed their Gwen in the jungle, too. I just said, 'Guys, we already won. Just go slowly; we're going to win'," Impact explained in a post-game interview with James "Dash" Patterson.

Evil Geniuses has been on a tear throughout the 2021 LCS Summer Split. The only team with a better record than EG this summer is 1st place 100 Thieves. In Evil Geniuses' last 12 games, the team is 11-1.
