Martin "Rekkles" Larsson is the first player in the history of European League of Legends esports to record 2,000 kills in his domestic career. The G2 Esports AD carry achieved the milestone in his team's win over Rogue in week 5 of the 2021 League of Legends European Championship Summer Split.

Rekkles' LEC debut pre-dates the league's current moniker. The Swedish sharpshooter was signed by Fnatic in 2012 before he was of viable age for the entire competitive circuit and eventually made his Riot Games-sanctioned league debut in the 2014 EU LCS. Rekkles remained with Fnatic through 2020 for all one split with Elements in the 2015 EU LCS Spring Split. Elements finished in 7th place, and in summer, Rekkles returned to Fnatic as an upgrade to Pierre "Steeelback" Medjaldi."

G2 Esports has struggled to a 5-5 record thus far in the 2021 LEC Summer Split, but individually, Rekkles has had an impressive season in the black, white and red. For a phenomenal Spring Split, Rekkles was named Most Valuable Player in G2's first-place finish. G2 finished 3rd in the post-season.

This is not the first milestone Rekkles has been first to, and in general, few players in the LEC past or present can match his decorative career. Rekkles is a four-time domestic champion and is the only player to win the Most Valuable Player award four times. In the past eight years, Rekkles has only missed qualifying for the World Championship once in 2016. In 2018, Rekkles faced off against Invictus Gaming in the finals of the World Championship, but Fnatic was swept 3-0.

The next closest player to Rekkles' LEC kill count is his mid laner. Rasmus "Caps" Winther, who has played with Rekkles on both Fnatic and G2 Esports,  has recorded 1398 kills since his debut at the start of the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split.
