On July 10, in the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Split, kt Rolster defeated Fredit BRION and DWG KIA swept Hanwha Life Esports.

In game 1 of the first match, Fredit BRION took the lead as they stuck kt Rolster while they were attempting the Rift Herald. Top laner Yoon “Hoya” Yong-ho’s solo kill also was a big help to their lead as well. Fredit BRION’s macro was flawless afterward and they took the first game.

By substituting their jungler, kt Rolster struck back. It was Fredit BRION who took the lead in the beginning as Eom “UmTi” Seong-hyeon’s Lee Sin collected 3 kills. However, he was cut off by Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon’s Nocturne and Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon’s Lucian’s clean combination. As the game went on, Dove’s Lucian continued to scale and he carried the game.

In the last game, kt Rolster started to snowball in their bot lane. They won the 2v2 fight and collected more kills through a dive. Doran and Dove also scaled well together with their bot duo. The following situations were resolved by Doran and Dove. It was their Gwen and Renekton that cleaned up everything left and kt Rolster collected their 4th win of the season.

The second match was between Hanwha Life Esports and DWG KIA. Hanwha Life Esports had a good start in game 1. They collected Baron with their lead, but DWG KIA didn’t fall. As Kim “Khan” Dong-ha’s Gangplank and Jang “Ghost” Yong-joon’s Ziggs dealt massive damage in narrow areas, the tables were turned. Similar situations followed in the later teamfights and DWG KIA took game 1.

DWG KIA stayed consistent in game 2. While Khan’s Aatrox endured Hanwha Life Esports’ attacks, Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu’s Gwen collected kills on the other side of the map. Whatever Hanwha Life Esports attempted, DWG KIA stood firm and they were able to win the game in 29 minutes.
