Co-owner of 100 Thieves and content creator Jack "CouRage" Dunlop is officially the first person in Pepsi Co. history to receive a custom flavor of one of their products. In a unique collaboration, MTN Dew Game Fuel released the Courageous Sherbert and Courageous Sherbert Zero limited-edition flavors inspired by CouRage.
"Absolutely speechless," the streamer said on Twitter. "First person in history to get a custom Pepsi Co. flavor. Thank you for the overwhelming amount of orders."
Based on its name, the flavor will presumably taste like sherbert desserts, with a simultaneously fruity and creamy flavor. The new Game Fuel flavor is available online in packs of 12 on the Game Fuel website.
"Courageous Sherbert is everything I want in a summer drink," CouRage stated on the Game Fuel page for the product. "It's cool, it's exclusive, and it has my name on it. It doesn't get any better than that."
In addition to being able to pick up the new flavors, customers can use the code TAKEOVER or COURAGE to receive a trading card of CouRage with their purchase. The trading card features CouRage' face and logo, as well as the quote "I am the most athletic and good looking influencer on the Game Fuel Roster."
While this is the first collaboration of its kind with Pepsi specifically, over the past couple of years there has been a rise in food-related products offering exclusive deals to esports pros and online influencers. Notable examples include Faker's ice cream line from Lotte Confectionery and Dr. Disrespect's custom G-Fuel Black on Blackberry flavor.
Esports and gaming is well through the door on these exclusive food and beverage deals. It will be interesting to see who the next big influencer to land their own flavor will be.
