On May 27, Invictus Gaming announced the acquisition of Jeong “NoFe” No-chul as the newest head coach for their League of Legends roster. He was actively sought out by the team for this past Spring split, during which time he was active both as a commentator and as an analyst for the LCK. IG’s continued pursuit of NoFe made the acquisition for the Summer split a reality.
NoFe started as a player in 2012; in 2015, he retired as a pro and started his coaching career. As part of the coaching staff with notable teams such as ROX Tigers, EDG, Afreeca Freecs, and most recently, Hanwha Life Esports, he’s shown prominence throughout his career as a coach. Starting this Summer split, he will once again head to the LPL as the head coach for IG.
NoFe commented, “I’ve received a tremendous amount of help from a lot of people this year. I want to thank all of them for their support, and I hope to breathe my passion into IG during this Summer split, and I hope to bring good results. Also, I want to thank my agent, Park Jae-seok, of Shadow corp for his incredible help. Let’s go, IG!”
