CvMax suspension over, DRX announces his return

0

Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho is returning to DRX. On May 20, DRX tweeted a short video of cvMax opening the door to DRX's team facility. CvMax had been suspended by the Esports Fair Commission for 5 months since December 14, 2020. Now that the suspension is over, he is eligible to coach the team again.

CvMax had been sued by Choi “Sword” Sung-won back in 2019 for assault. At first, the prosecutor’s office gave cvMax a summary order for a 1,000,000 KRW fine (~8,500 USD), but cvMax objected and filed for a trial. After six public trials, the court sentenced cvMax to a 1,000,000 KRW fine. This time, cvMax said through his stream that he will be accepting the result.

DRX had been under the coaching of Kim “SSONG” Sang-su during cvMax’s suspension. Although the star players like Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon or Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu left the team, DRX had a decent run and made the playoffs. With cvMax returning to the team, it is not yet known whether SSONG will stay or not.
