As the Pacific Championship Series representative, PSG Talon was expected to face an uphill battle at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational, and that was before the medical sidelining of AD carry Wong "Unified" Chun Kit.

However, with substitute AD carry Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-Chuan on loan from Beyond Gaming, PSG not only met the expectations of its full roster, but exceeded those expectations to qualify for the Knockout Stage as the third team behind League of Legends Champions Korea representative DWG KIA and League of Legends Pro League representative Royal Never Give Up, respectively.

Since DWG KIA picked MAD Lions as its first Knockout Stage opponent, PSG Talon will face off against Royal Never Give Up in an attempt to be the first team from its region to qualify for the finals of the Mid-Season Invitational. At 18 years of age, Doggo is the youngest player at MSI, has shown impressive synergy with a team he's had very little time to play with as well as strong individual play from the bot lane carry position.

Following the conclusion of the Rumble Stage, Doggo joined Inven Global for a brief interview about his MSI experience and the unique nature in which the opportunity came to fruition.

PSG Talon is through to the Knockout Stage of MSI 2021. What were you feeling when you locked in that spot?

I felt very happy when we locked down the semifinals. This is my first time attending an event to play on the international stage, so it felt really great.

You've played impressively for your first time internationally, as a substitute for a team that is not your own, no less! How has this tournament been for you personally, and now that you've had some chances to play games on stage, how do you think you have performed?

I feel nervous before the first match of each and every day, but after I touch the mouse and I start playing the game, the nervousness goes down. Then, I can get a better mindset about myself.

Despite being a substitute on loan from another team, you've shown impressive synergy with the other members of PSG thus far. How did you develop this synergy so quickly?

I just want to say thank you for my team Beyond Gaming giving me this opportunity, and also, to my PSG teammates. They've helped develop our synergy in such a short time.

PSG mid laner Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang has a wealth of international experience. Has his veteran presence been helpful in navigating this experience?

Having Maple as a teammate is very helpful because he can sometimes show us some details in games in terms of how better play teamfights.

Your being here is a unique situation. Are there any personal goals you set before coming to compete at MSI 2021 with PSG Talon?

I just hope that we can make it to the finals since we've performed pretty well.

Does part of you wish you were here with Beyond Gaming?

Yes, I cannot be on this stage with my own teammates. I feel a bit of pity that I cannot be here with Beyond Gaming.

Is there anything you'd like to say to the fans watching PSG Talon represent the PCS at MSI?

Thanks to everyone for supporting PSG Talon, and thanks for supporting me.
