On day 5 of the 2021 Mid Season Invitational Rumble stage, PSG Talon defeated Pentanet.GG and qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament.

After the victory, the head coach for PSG Talon, Kwon “Helper” Young-jae joined Jeesun Park for an interview. He commented, “We stayed nervous throughout this arduous journey, but it’s a breath of fresh air to have qualified for the knockout stage. There were too many good teams in the tournament, so there was a lot to talk about throughout the Rumble stage.”

Pending the results of day 5, PSG will either be facing RNG or DWG KIA. Helper commented, “Because our team loves to skirmish, I think it’ll be more fun to play against RNG. DWG KIA feels like they’re fundamentally stronger, so I think they’ll be harder opponents.”

PSG Talon continues to show improvement since last year. Helper attributes this to his teammates in saying, “I think it’s due to us gaining a lot of international experience against elite teams. We have a lot of veterans in our roster, so we’re very flexible in ways we can improve, especially when it comes to facing the best of the best.”

Lastly, Helper commented, “There’s two huge mountains left to climb, and it’ll be a fun viewing experience for us to beat them. We’ll give it our all in preparing for the remaining matches.”
