On April 28, global esports organization SK Telecom CS T1 (T1) announced that they have concluded an MOU with the global game data platform, OP.GG Inc (OP.GG). Both companies will work together in sharing information and data, providing technological support, cooperate in various promotions and in expanding their academy business.
Both T1 and OP.GG are the forerunners of the domestic esports industry, and are greatly interested not only in creating a better ecosystem for esports, but also aiding pro players continue to further build their careers after their retirement.
Through this MOU, OP.GG will aid T1 when promoting new content, while T1 will aid OP.GG when they launch new services. Furthermore, through various new projects, both T1 and OP.GG will cooperate in creating LoL educational content.
John Kim, the Chief Operating Officer of T1, commented, “We’re thrilled to be working together with OP.GG. We’ll make sure to work together in aiding the advancement of the Korean esports market and its ecosystem”.
The Chief Executive Officer of OP.GG, Sangrak Choi, commented, “We’re very excited to be working with T1, an organization that expanded the esports industry in so many different ways. Through partnerships like such, I hope that the esports ecosystem will continue to grow”.
