Cloud9 jungler Robert "Blaber" Huang has been named the Honda Most Valuable Player of the 2021 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split. This is the second time Blaber has won the award, the first being in the spring of 2020 in which the young jungler led C9 to its first LCS title since 2014.

Blaber was integral in Cloud9's first place finish in the 2021 LCS Spring Split as well as the team's current post-season position. C9 is currently awaiting the winner of TSM and Team Liquid in the finals of the LCS Mid-Season Showdown, and is the favorite to represent North America at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational.

Blaber wasn't just individually spectacular this spring — he was instrumental in the integration of C9's new members, particularly mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković. Blaber, Perkz, and AD carry Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen were all named as members of the LCS Spring Split All-Pro team.

Of the 10 candidates nominated for the 2021 LCS Spring Split Honda MVP award, the final two were, expectedly, Blaber and TL top laner Barney "Alphari" Morris. Alphari was a madman for Team Liquid throughout the spring, but C9's dominance was unparalled, and Blaber was a huge part of it.

Blaber is the first jungler in LCS history to win the MVP award more than once, and the fourth jungler to win the award in LCS history. Team Impulse jungler Lee "Rush" Yoon-jae won the award in the 2015 NA LCS Summer Split, and Immortals jungler Kim "Reignover" Yeu-jin won the award one year later in the summer of 2016. In the 2020 Summer Split, C9 jungler Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen won the award despite platooning with Blaber, the latter of whom played 5 of the 18 games that split.

Interestingly enough, all four jungler MVPs have been a part of C9 at some point in their respective careers. Rush was signed to Cloud9 after his MVP summer and started for the team in the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split, and Reignover is the head coach of Cloud9's current LCS roster.
