Super Smash Bros. Melee William "Leffen" Hjelte has made it out of surgery.
Earlier this morning, Leffen shared a tweet that updated his fans on a serious surgery. Leffen shared a photo of himself in the hospital recovering from his surgery complete with a hospital gown, hospital cap, and a drowsy expression.
"I lived bitch," Leffen declared.
According to a follow-up tweet, Leffen had some serious hand surgery earlier this morning. He even had a plate put in to make sure everything remains stable and heals properly. Going forward, Leffen will need physical therapy. If everything goes according to plan, Leffen stated that he can start gaming in two weeks.
"All healthcare workers were nice and amazing. Y'all are legit heroes," Leffen added.
For now, Leffen is on a bunch of painkillers that have left him feeling "hilarious."
The Smash community responded with relief. When Leffen had dropped a weight on his hand, fans were quite concerned about his health and ability to play Melee and Dragonball. This update is a positive one that has many fans urging him to rest and get better soon.
