Well, that was fast. Before the upcoming Hearthstone expansion, Forged in the Barrens, goes live next week, players already uncovered the mini-expansion set to release halfway through its' lifecycle.

On Wednesday afternoon, data miners uncovered the mini-expansion and shared their findings on the official Hearthstone subReddit where players flocked to see what they can expect in the upcoming months.

Titled "Wailing Caverns," the area itself is located in the northern area of the Barrens and is one of the low-level dungeons that new players come across when playing as members of the Horde, according to wowpedia. Within the cavern lies powerful quest rewards and a handful of bosses that players encounter early on to prepare themselves for the terrors that may lie ahead.

Most of the following bosses players come across are Night Elfs, Druids, beasts, or murlocs:

- Lord Serpentis
- Skum
- Lord Pythas
- Lord Cobrahn
- Lady Anacondra
- Kresh
- Verdan the Everliving
- Mutantus the Devourer
- Deviate Faerie Dragon
- Trigore the Lasher

As for what also populates the caverns, raptors, oozes and wind serpents can make player's lives difficult in the early going stages of the game, causing some to bite off more than they can chew if not properly leveled ahead of time.

Naturally, the Hearthstone development team has not acknowledged the leak as their focus is on the Forged in the Barrens' expansion launching on March 30. But what it does confirm is that the team is still focused on making mini-expansions during the lifespan of an existing card set. Darkmoon Races, which launched in January, was the first time players were treated with a 35 card set in the middle of the Darkmoon Faire expansion.
