In the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split on Mar. 25, Hanwha Life Esports swept Fredit BRION and kt Rolster defeated Nongshim RedForce. As of today’s results, Fredit BRION failed to reach the playoffs while kt Rolster kept their hopes up.

Hanwha Life Esports took the first game through their macro. Although they gave up first blood in the bot lane, Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu and Oh “Vsta” Hyo-seong didn’t lose priority. As they went up the map to join the objective fights, Hanwha Life Esports snowballed without stopping. Deft played Jinx in the game and proved why his Jinx was really special.

In the second game, Hanwha Life Esports took a big lead from early. Fredit BRION overextended from the first skirmish and Hanwha Life Esports took advantage of that to take 3 kills. Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon’s Corki and Kim “yoHan” Yo-han’s Hecarim were able to scale well and they took over the Rift. Fredit BRION tried to turn the game, but there wasn’t much that they could do. With a 2-0 win, Hanwha Life Esports tied themselves in wins with Gen.G.

The following match was Nongshim RedForce vs. kt Rolster. In the first game, Nongshim RedForce took the win through their strong bot duo. Kim “Kellin” Hyeong-gyu’s Alistar led the bot-centric game as he had a 100% kill participation rate at 15 minutes. Nongshim RedForce’s bot duo also dominated teamfights to take the first game.

In game 2, kt Rolster gave back what they took in the first game. In a skirmish that got bigger, kt Rolster’s mid laner joined the fight earlier and they were able to snowball through that. In the following sidelane macro and teamfights, Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon’s Yone made extra kills and kt Rolster secured the game.

In the last game, kt Rolster had a good start in the bot lane, but Nongshim RedForce took a big teamfight win at the dragon. The game seesawed back and forth for a while until Kim “GIDEON” Min-seong’s Hecarim led the teamfight to cut off Nongshim RedForce’s damage dealers. Through that fight, kt Rolster succeeded to win the game and in contention for the playoffs.
