Blizzard Entertainment has posted a handful of new job listings that seem to point toward the development of an unannounced AAA title. Blizzard Senior Artist Dan John Cox tweeted about the unannounced game and its job listings, including Associate-level design positions. Cox also stated that he was looking to hire for diversity and emphasized the importance of diversity when building a team for this type of project.

Noteworthy positions within the group of job listings include listings for Senior Systems Designer, Senior 3D Environment Artist, Level Designer, and a Mid-Level or Associate Combat Designer. The latter job listing's requirements all but confirm that the unannounced project will be a first-person shooter game.

The Senior 3D Environment Artist listing states Blizzard is looking for an artist who can create 'epic, memorable worlds' implying that the game will have a plethora of playable maps. The role's primary responsibilities include "combining traditional art aesthetics with next gen 3D authoring techniques to create a unique visual texturing style for environments that extend the boundaries of what's creatively possible."

All in all, Blizzard Entertainment has posted 16 job listings for 'Unannounced Project' including those listed above, which is a relatively lean crew for what seems to be quite an ambitious project when considering the information available. However, a total of 55 job listings are on Blizzard's website for more than just one unannounced project. In addition, some job listing descriptions infer that a mobile game might be on the horizon for Blizzard Entertainment.

BlizzConline, which took the place of BlizzCon 2021 after the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, confirmed that Overwatch 2 was still in development and that Diablo 2: Remastered would be Blizzard's final remake/remaster for a good amount of time.

This story will continue to be updated as new information becomes available on upcoming projects developed by Blizzard.
