Dignitas is the second team in the 2021 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split to qualify for the LCS Mid-Season Showdown. DIG punched its ticket to the post-season with a victory over Evil Geniuses and is now tied with TSM for 2nd place at 10-5.

Dignitas has had an impressive Spring Split after failing to survive the first round of the LCS Lock In. The only all-NA roster in the league has found success in placing young talents around the veteran battery of support Zaqueri "aphromoo" Black and jungler Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett.

Cloud9 qualified for the LCS Mid-Season Showdown at the beginning of the week by securing its 11th win against FlyQuest, which guaranteed the 1st place team a top 6 finish in the Spring Split standings. The top 6 teams at the end of the Spring Split will compete in the Mid-Season Showdown, which has taken the place of the LCS Spring Playoffs to decide who represents North America at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational.

Despite being tied with Dignitas in record, TSM has yet to qualify for the LCS Mid-Season Showdown. DIG's 2-0 head-to-head records against Evil Geniuses and TSM guarantee that the team will not finish below a qualifying position. Even if DIG was to go 0-3 in its final week against Team Liquid, Cloud9 and FlyQuest, a 10-8 record with its head-to-head records guarantee at least a lower bracket seed in the post-season.

Coming into the 2021 season, Dignitas was a team identified by most as a bottom-tier team who wouldn't be capable of finishing in a playoff position. Instead, DIG has established itself as one of the top teams in North America, and should it maintain this level, it could be the finest LCS split in the history of the organization.
