On Feb. 6, in the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split, T1 swept Fredit BRION 2-0 and kt Rolster got past Afreeca Freecs 2-1. Both winners made 50% win rates with today’s win.

Before the first match, there was a health issue with Fredit BRION’s only mid laner, Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon. They had to fill in sub jungler Lee “Chieftain” Jae-yub in mid lane. There was no chance for Fredit BRION to stand T1’s attacks as T1 took priority in all lanes and all fights. There was no chance for any turnarounds and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok collected his 400th career win through this win.

Game 2 wasn’t much different. Eom “UmTi” Seong-hyeon changed positions with Chieftain, but an improvised team couldn’t do much against T1. Everything smiled toward T1 and they had no trouble in defeating their counterparts.

In the second match, kt Rolster had a good start with Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon’s Syndra. The skillshots landed perfectly to scatter Afreeca Freecs. In the next game, kt Rolster substituted in Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon and Kang “Blank” Seon-gu in the mid and jungle, but they were caught up in Afreeca Freecs’ snowball.

However, kt Rolster still had faith in their mid-jungle. The last game was extremely close and full of fights, they were able to claim the victory through individual carries. Afreeca Freecs again showed their weakness in late-game macro and teamfights and gave up their Nexus.
