The legendary mid laner for T1, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, played his 600th LCK game on day 16 of the 2021 LCK Spring split. Game 3 of the match against NS RedForce is Faker’s 600th professional game in the LCK, and locked in one of his signature picks, Orianna, and marked the first player to reach the 600 game mark.
Faker is widely considered to be the greatest League of Legends player of all time. His incredible legacy includes nine LCK championships and three World championships (back to back in 2015-2016), which included iconic moments such as solo killing Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong’s Kha’zix in his debut (at the time, Ambition was considered to be the best mid laner in the league) and the 1 vs 1 Zed mirror match vs. Ryu in game 5 of the 2013 OGN Champions Summer finals.
While he was the second player to play 500 LCK games after Score, he set the record for being the first to play 600. Among the pro players that are still active, the bot laner for Hanwha Life Esports, Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, follows at 480 games, and the bot laner for Afreeca Freecs, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, played 444 LCK games in their careers. Will Faker’s record ever be broken in the future?
