On Dec. 26, DAMWON Gaming defeated Hanwha Life Esports in the 2020 KeSPA Cup semifinals. Although Hanwha Life Esports managed to win Game 2, DAMWON Gaming didn’t shake at all and won the remaining games to be headed to the finals.

The first game was DAMWON Gaming all the way. One fight in bot lane gave all priority to DAMWON Gaming’s mid and bot lanes. They used their priority to pressure their opponents and collect all the dragons. In 23 minutes, DAMWON Gaming gained the dragon soul and they destroyed Hanwha Life Esports in following teamfights to get the first win.

In game 2, Hanwha Life Esports struck back. The game was close until mid game, at a teamfight at the 12-minute mark, Hanwha Life Esports took a massive lead. The ultimates of Yone and Miss Fortune were connected perfectly in the fight. With that, Hanwha Life Esports continued to win teamfights to destroy DAMWON Gaming’s Nexus.

However, there weren’t any more upsets. DAMWON Gaming snowballed through their early skirmish advantages in games 3 and 4. Hanwha Life Esports resisted fiercely, but the early wounds didn’t heal. As DAMWON Gaming took games 3 and 4, they advanced to the finals to face the winner of the match between Nongshim RedForce and kt Rolster.

Nongshim RedForce and kt Rolster will face each other in the semifinals tomorrow and the finals will be held on Jan. 2, 2021.
