On Dec. 18th, day 1 of the 2020 LoL All-Stars event took place. The LCK All-Stars faced off against the PCS and the OCE All-Stars in the first segment of the event, 'Underdogs Uprising', and pulled off  some interesting picks in both games. Although the LCK All-Stars failed to pick up a victory against both regions, they seemed to be in high spirits and were having fun, which was reflective of their crazy champion picks and position swaps (in game 2).

The mid laner for T1 and the LCK All-Stars, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, joined Jeesun Park on the LCK broadcast to talk about his experience in the event so far.

How does he feel after playing against the PCS and OPL?

While we did lose both games, our team atmosphere's been great, and we played the way we wanted, so we all had fun.

You played Yone with Deft on Yasuo in game 1, while all the players swapped positions for game 2. It seems that all the players are having fun, so do you feel that the team synergy is on point?

While all the players have great mechanics, I don’t think that there were too many synergetic moments. However, I believe that we all did the best we could in our role. In terms of the Yone-Yasuo in game 1, Deft's Yasuo was an impromptu pick, as he locked it in after I picked Yone to complete the ‘brothers’ synergy.

You’re the only player with prior experience at the All-Stars event. As this is your 7th appearance at All-Stars, did you give any advice to the other players?

Not really. This is the first time that I’m playing All-Stars in an online format, so the event feels pretty new to me as well.

You’ve always topped the vote for All-Stars, so would you like to say anything to the fans that voted for you?

I’d like to thank all the fans in Korea and around the world for voting for me. We’re all going through hard times right now, so I hope all of you stay safe and be well.
