On Wednesday evening, Twitch, one of the largest live streaming platforms in the world, announced they were suspending one of their most popular personalities after an incident that took place over the weekend.

No stranger to controversy, Félix “xQc” Lengyel participated in a Fall Guys Twitch Rivals tournament at GlitchCon last Saturday and was seen stream-sniping (turning on another individual's stream to see their perspective, thus gaining a competitive advantage) his opponents while broadcasting his match in front of tens of thousands of viewers. After laughing it off himself, other content creators voiced their displeasure with the former professional Overwatch player and, from there, the drama spread across social media platforms and Reddit.

Lengyel, who did issue an apology later in the night after the event had concluded on his own Twitter account, has been suspended from the platform for seven days, forced to forfeit his prize money from the event, and received a six-month ban from future Twitch Rivals events.

Twitch issued a statement on their Twitch Rivals' account below:

Lengyel responded a few hours after his suspension was publicly announced with the following tweet:

Lengyel is eligible to return to streaming on Twitch on November 25.
