On Nov. 1st, T1 announced the departure of their coach and analyst from their League of Legends roster, Lim “Comet” Hye-sung and Gary “Tolki” Mialaret, respectively. They joined the team in late 2019, when the organization got rebranded to T1 after a merger between SK Telecom and Comcast. With two of them on board, they provided aid in T1 finding success in the 2020 LCK Spring split, where they defeated Gen.G to become Spring split champions. However, they failed to qualify for the 2020 LoL World Championship, as they not only finished 4th place in the Summer split, they fell to Gen.G in the last round of the regional qualifiers.

While there weren't any comments from Comet with regards to the departure, Tolki thanked the organization and stated one of the reasons why he left on his personal Twitter. ”I decided to leave as I couldn’t help the team as much as I wanted to, partly because of COVID-19 upsetting travel plans. I wish the team the best, and hope we will face (each other) again on the rift.”

After the Summer split, T1 announced the departure of their head coach, Kim Jung-soo. As November is that time of the year when a lot of off-season roster moves take place, It’ll be curious to see who will be the ones to lead T1’s LoL roster in the 2021,
