UPDATE 10/20: AOC tweeted last night that she is setting up for a stream tonight after setting up her Twitch account and getting everything in order to have a successful Among Us stream. No confirmation of the stream or its participants has been made at this time.

Original story:

United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, known more commonly as AOC, is looking to start a Twitch stream of popular new party game Among Us as a way to incentivize voting amongst US citizens. AOC mentioned see has never played Among Us before, but the game has reached peak popularity with casual and hardcore gamers alike, and a handful of figures across gaming, esports, streaming, and politics have volunteered to fill out the required party of 10.

Some of the well-known responding to AOC's Among Us are popular streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys and recently retired Major League Baseball professional player Hunter Pence, the latter of whom has always been active in esports and streaming. Pence even invested in esports organization Cloud9 during its Series A funding in 2017.

AOC has replied to Pokimane, saying that she's getting the stream set up, but whether this means Pokimane will be one of the nine other players in AOC's Among Us game. No other players have been confirmed at this time.

AOC is no stranger to video games — she's been a League of Legends player since college and recently attempted to pass legislation that aimed to restrict the United States Armed Forces' recruiting avenues on Twitch and similar platforms.

Other notable community figures to have responded to AOC's tweet volunteering for the Among Us vote stream are vlogger and streamer Hasan "hasanabi" Piker, Fighting Game Community host and caster Steve "Tasty Steve" Scott, streamer and former League of Legends professional player Joedat "Voyboy" Esfahani, and streamer Neekolul who is also a content creator for 100 Thieves.
