Overwatch League franchise Los Angeles Gladiators is parting ways with one of its most beloved members. Aaron "Bischu" Kim, who played Off-Tank for the LA Gladiators in the recently concluded 2020 OWL season, has announced he will be looking for offers in management and coaching position in both the League of Legends and Overwatch esports scenes.

Bischu originally signed with the Los Angeles Gladiators ahead of the inaugural Overwatch League season after deciding his time as a professional League of Legends player had come to a close after a brief stint in the North American League of Legends Championship Series as the starting mid laner for Team Dragon Knights.

Bischu spent the near-entirety of his career with the Gladiators save for a brief period at the end of the 2019 OWL season in which he was transferred to Guangzhou Charge before being re-signed by Gladiators in the off-season.

On an individual level, Bischu was a proficient OWL athlete, but the value he brought to his team extended far beyond his virtual capabilities. Bischu's positive attitude and infectious smile have made him a fan favorite not just on the Gladiators, but around the globe regardless of team affiliation.

Bischu's cultural familiarity with North America and South Korea, competitive experience, and fluency in English and Korean made him an incredible clubhouse presence and at times, a bridge between mixed-language rosters. These are all skills that will transfer as well, if not better, into a coaching or management role, and because of Bischu's experience in two of the premier esports in the world, expect him to be looked at as a hot commodity in multiple regions this off-season.

UPDATE 10/6: LA Gladiators has also announced it will be parting ways with Benjamin "BigG00se" Isohanni and Jonas "Shaz" Suovaara. The Finnish supports have spent the entirety of their Overwatch League careers with Gladiators and stand as the organization's longest-tenured members.
