On day 4 of the 2020 LoL World Championship group stages, DRX took down FlyQuest to take their second victory of the group stages. Despite the dragon stack lead by FLY, DRX was able to snowball the game through superior laning phase by their laners and teamfighting.

The mid laner for DRX, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon joined Jeesun Park for a post-match interview on the LCK broadcast.

After the close match ended in a loss against TES, DRX took the victory against FLY tonight. How do you feel?

I don’t feel ecstatic. I’m just slightly happy.

There were a lot of new picks tonight, from Maokai in the top lane to face Ornn, and your Zoe, which is a champion that you never played in the Summer split. What’s the concept behind the team composition tonight?

I knew that there was a high chance that I’d be playing Zoe during the draft. To be honest, Kindred and Maokai isn’t my lane, so I’m not really sure. I think they just played them because they just wanted to play them (laughter). We talked about how those champions will function in our team composition, and concluded that they would fit into our comp.

People say that Zoe’s not a meta pick right now. Thoughts?

She doesn’t function as well as the other mid lane champions right now, but even so, if a lot of mid champions are banned, I think she’s still fine.

Keria got executed by Baron Nashor. How did the team react to it, especially Keria?

I suddenly heard a scream, and saw the ‘Executed’ text on screen, so I was like, “Huh?” I think… The Baron dealt more damage to him than he predicted. (Can you give us a tip on how to avoid getting executed by Baron?) Just get out of Baron’s vision range.

DRX heads into the second round robin of the group stages with a 2-1 record. Heading into round 2, what’s your resolution?

We’re going to fix our mistakes in round 1 to aim for an undefeated record in the second round robin. Our ultimate goal is to just get better, and we’re going to come back better.
