INTZ becomes the second team knocked out of Worlds, following the LJL's V3 Esports from Group B yesterday. They played a tiebreaker game against MAD Lions after finding themselves tied for last with a 1-3 record. INTZ came into the day 0-3, but defeated Team Liquid to hold onto the dream of continuing their Worlds run. They had a strong early game to nearly knock our the European third seed, but they couldn't last through the mid-game, losing the Ocean Soul, crippling their teamfight ability. This is the third year in a row they've lost a tiebreaker to end their time at Worlds.

Coming into the tournament, MAD was one of the favorites to leave the group, but multiple rough mid and late-game macro decisions and teamfight failures left them at the bottom of the standings, putting them in the position of needing to win a tiebreaker and multiple best of five series to qualify to the Group Stage. They somewhat mirrored LGD's path in Group B, ending 1-3, and winning the tiebreaker to continue their Worlds run.

With this loss, INTZ makes their exit from the event. Moving forward, MAD will play SuperMassive in a best of five series in Group A and LGD will play Rainbow7 for Group B. The winner of each series will play a series against the opposite Group's second seed, UOL for Group B, and the loser of Team Liquid vs Legacy Esports for Group A.

So far, only PSG has qualified for the Group Stage after claiming first place in Group B, and the winner of Liquid vs Legacy will follow them. Stay tuned for more Worlds 2020 news and content. Catch the rest of the action at lolesports.com/watch.
