The following is a translation of the Korean press release sent to Inven Global by APE.

On the 28th (KST), Absolute Power Esports (APE), the parent company operating the professional LCK team, SeolHaeOne Prince, signed a sisterhood agreement with the LJL team, Burning Core.

Formed in 2017, Burning Core is a Japanese pro League of Legends team that participated in the LJL since its creation. In the 2020 LJL Summer split, while they moved onto the playoffs as the 6th seed, their playoffs run came to an end when they were defeated by DetonatioN FocusMe 2-3.

With this agreement, both APE and Burning Core hope to create synergy and expand their business and brand, and are in plans to have international exhibition matches with APE’s other sister team, Edward Gaming of the LPL.

This partnership extends further than just a simple business relationship. APE’s goal is to be the leaders of the global esports industry, and revealed that this partnership will be mutually beneficial to each other’s growth in various ways.

From the regular exhibition matches that these teams will be having, another part of fan content is to provide the fans with the feedback the teams will receive after these matches. This content will be available across three countries: Korea, Japan, and China.

Alongside the regular exhibition matches, they will continue to work together in building a stable relationship, and will eventually be inviting each other to visit each other's team houses, practice facilities, and even stadiums.

Mr. OJ Kim, the owner of APE, stated, “Through this sisterhood agreement, we’ve managed to become partners with EDG of the LPL and Burning Core of the LJL. As we all continue to grow in the esports industry in Korea, China, and Japan, we will work together in becoming more globally renowned. As SeolHaeOne Prince and Burning Core continues to grow, we will give it our all in providing much entertainment to the various esports fans around the world.”
