Team Liquid has won the award for Coaching Staff of the Split in the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split. TL finished in 1st place with a 15-3 record, a franchise best, after finishing in 9th place in the 2020 LCS Spring Split.

Team Liquid has a robust support staff for its League of Legends team that revolves around a four-man core. Joshua "Jatt" Leesman left his caster/analyst role at Riot Games to debut as a Head Coach for TL, and Jang "Cain" Nu-ri, who was TL's Head Coach for the previous three years, moved to the role of Strategic Coach. Longtime coach Kang "Dodo" Jun-hyeok remained as part of the staff, and former OpTic Gaming coach Chris "Croissant" Sun rounded out the foursome that led TL to 1st.

Team Liquid's staggering 83% win rate is only made more impressive by Edward "Tactical" Ra playing his first full LCS split in place of Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, who left TL to return to his former team TSM after the Spring Split.

Mid Laner Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen has been exceptional, and Support Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in is putting together a performance-based campaign for potentially his second LCS MVP award after he won it in the 2019 LCS Spring Split. Team Liquid earned itself a first-round bye with the #1 seed in the 2020 LCS Summer Playoffs, and will play its first post-season match against Golden Guardians on Friday, August 21 at 1:00pm PT.

Team Liquid won the award in a landslide amount of 121 points — more than 2nd place Cloud9's 65 and 3rd place Golden Guardian's 25 combined. Last week, every TL starter sans Jungler Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen ended up on one of the 3 All-Pro LCS Summer Split Teams, with CoreJJ taking top rank amongst all North American Supports.

More awards from the 2020 LCS Summer Split are to be announced as the post-season continues. The Rookie of the Year will be revealed on August 28, and Honda Most Valuable Player will be made known on August 4.
