TSM has eliminated Dignitas from the 2020 League of Legends Championship Summer Playoffs in a 3-0 sweep and ended any chances at a DIG qualification for the 2020 World Championship. Dignitas is the third team in the LCS to have its season ended after Immortals and Counter Logic Gaming were eliminated from post-season contention in the 2020 LCS Summer Split.

As the 8th seed in the LCS Summer Playoffs, Dignitas had only one chance in the post-season due to being outside of the top 6 seeds. DIG would have to wait to see its opponent, which ended up being 4th seed TSM after it was swept by 5th seed Golden Guardians in the upper bracket.

TSM looked in far better form against DIG than against GG, particularly AD Carry Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, who had a series of highlight-reel fights in game 2 of the series on his trusty Ezreal. DIG continued to give more and more ground as the series continued, and TSM's third and final win of the series was the most convincing. Dignitas is the first team to be eliminated from the 2020 LCS Summer Playoffs, and TSM will keep its hopes for the post-season Worlds 2020 alive.

On the other side of the upper bracket across from TSM and GG, 3rd seed FlyQuest defeated 6th seed Evil Geniuses in a narrow 3-2 win that almost saw the spring finalist reverse swept. EG will play a do-or-die series against 7th seed 100 Thieves, the loser of the series having its season ended. TSM will have to wait for Team Liquid's match against Golden Guardians, the loser of which will play TSM next.
