Friday, August 7th, Herschel "Guy" "Dr Disrespect" Beahm IV returned to streaming, making his debut on YouTube Live. As the timer clicked down to zero and slid off the screen, The Doc popped on camera, sitting in his classic spot in The Arena talking to someone off-screen, saying, "I don't know, I've never even streamed on YouTube. So if I plug this in here — we're not live are we?" The stream then cut to a curated highlight reel and inspirational speech, showcasing Dr Disrespect's brand in calculated fashion.
At the end of the opening clip, he is featured riding in a red Lamborghini. He drives up to a cliff, stopping to overlook a giant, neon metropolis in the background and begins to converse with the Champions Club directly. Immediately, he addressed the Twitch-ban-shaped elephant in the room. "Doctor, Doctor, we're here for one thing: WHY!?" he says, mimicking what everyone has been asking for the past month. He responds to himself, "Shut your mouth up! God, we'll get to it. Just calm down."
A little while later as he is chatting with his 500K viewers, he brings up the Twitch ban head-on, but still, he claims he has not yet received any explicit reason for his removal from the platform. "In regards to the ban, a lot of people want to know what happened... I want you to look me in my eyes when I say this. We still have no idea."
He takes this a step further, expressing frustration around the situation. "As far as I'm concerned, we didn't do anything to warrant a ban, let alone how they went about banning us. No communication before, no reaching out, nothing. Boom. Done... That's the last thing I'm going to say about it, and I have to be intelligent about all of this. You're talking about a heavy contract with lots of money... There's big money involved, so let the legal professionals do what they need to do. That's it, period. My conscious, it feels so good... So that's your update."
He then continued on, chatting with viewers, showing around his impressive virtual world he's built, taking members into a gym, a locker room, and more. He got caught up on new game releases and settled in, eventually hopping into Call of Duty: Warzone. So far, there are still no confirmations on his Twitch ban, but for now, The Doc is glad to be streaming again. "11 years ago, it all started on YouTube, and baby, it feels so good to be back."
