FaZe Clan's VALORANT team already has two former Overwatch League pros in Corey "corey" Nigra and Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo, and according to a report by ESPN Esports' Tyler Erzberger, that number is expected to double. Andrej "Babybay" Francisty and Shane "Rawkus" Flaherty, both who recently retired from OWL during the 2020 season, are expected to join the FaZe VALORANT roster.

Babybay's retirement was announced mid-July by his OWL team Atlanta Reign, but the DPS made no mention of future plans.

Rawkus, who retired last weekend after spending his entire OWL career with Houston Outlaws, was forthright about his plans to pursue a career in VALORANT.

If Rawkus and Babybay are to be signed by FaZe Clan, the organization's VALORANT squad would consist of four former Overwatch players. ZachaREEE and corey rose to prominence in 2019 as DPS players for Dallas Fuel and Washington Justice, respectively. Babybay was a star hitscan player for the Atlanta Reign and San Francisco Shock during his career, and Rawkus was the prominent Support player for Outlaws and Team USA during the Overwatch World Cup from 2017-2019.

Signing Rawkus and Babybay would give FaZe Clan a permanent roster of five rounded out by former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive talent Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen, who made his debut at the Ignition Series tournament hosted by T1,  'T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown.' Despite an incomplete lineup requiring FaZe Clan to get temporary players for the tournament, the team managed to finish top 4.

Those speculating the likelihood of Babybay and Rawkus signing to FaZe Clan won't have to wait long. The new FaZe roster will make its debut at the FaZe Clan Invitational, the next VALORANT tournament in the Ignition Series.
