In week 7, day 1 of the 2020 League of Legends European Championship Summer Split, Rogue qualified for the post-season by defeating Fnatic to secure its 11th win. Rogue is the second team to qualify for the 2020 LEC Summer Playoffs after MAD Lions did so earlier in the day with a win over Origen. Rogue and MAD are tied for first place in the LEC with an 11-3 record.

Rogue's win against Fnatic was far less clean than MAD Lions' win over OG, but even when Fnatic was able to make fights look contestable, Rogue never let go of map control. Incredible Azir play from Mid Laner Emil "Larssen" Larsson kept Rogue sightly ahead in gold over Fnatic before the dam burst in a late-game teamfight, which was all Rogue needed to close the book on the FNC nexus.

Larssen has been praised as the strongest teamfighting Mid Laner in the LEC, but in an on-broadcast interview following the win against FNC with Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere, Larssen chalked up his success to his all-around optimal play: "I think the reason I am really good in teamfights is because I usually have a CS lead and I'm really fed when we start teamfighting." Larssen, ever-aware of his surroundings, also commended his team for strong, unified group play as a five-man squad.

MAD Lions and Rogue locked in their post-season appearance with four days left to play in the 2020 LEC Summer Split, but not a single team has been eliminated from potentially qualifying for the LEC Summer Playoffs.

LEC Caster & Analyst Indiana "Froskurinn" Black often refers to Rogue as the forgotten first place team because of their quiet, clinical excellence often being overshadowed by the sheer firepower of G2 or the rowdy, boisterous play of MAD Lions. However, Rogue established itself as a competitive force nearly one year ago, and have only continued to improve since. This early post-season lock in could be the start of Rogue finally receiving the acclaim it deserves for its level of play.
