Start Team Liquid; stay away from Origen in Fantasy League of Legends this week

The two most important questions when building your E1 Fantasy Lineup: Who do I pick? Who do I not pick? Well we heard you mumbling these questions to yourself and are giving you some help. Who to avoid is just as important as to who you flock towards as you need to make sure your whole lineup is set to pop-off, from Top to Team. We are giving you one player/team from each position to target and another one to run as far away from as you possibly can. Choose wisely!

Top

PICK: Finn "Finn" Wiestål — Rogue — $240,000 (vs Fnatic & SK Gaming)

You don't usually see players priced this low as straight-up 'Picks' for me, but Finn is used to breaking down barriers for Top lakers. He has scored 15+ points in 5 consecutive games a feat the NOBODY else in Top has done. Nobody. At a position where players just end up dying on their own island, you can't overstate how important that safety is.

AVOID: Jeong "Impact" Eon-Young — Team Liquid — $270,000 (vs Dignitas & Counter Logic Gaming)

It is never good when your player tweets out about how he knows he is playing poorly. Even worse when you notice he only has 4 Kills in the last 5 games

Jungle

PICK: Lucas "Santorin" Tao Kilmer Larsen — FlyQuest — $280,000 (vs 100 Thieves & Evil Geniuses)

The early season breakout is back! It has been a rollercoaster of a season for Flyquest, but the tracks are pointing up again. Santorin was neck and neck with Blaber in salary a few weeks back and now gets to face two struggling teams near them in the standings. Santorin still leads the LCS in KP, and there are plenty of Kills to be had this weekend.

AVOID: Andrei "Xerxe" Dragomir — Origen — $230,000 (vs MAD Lions & FC Schalke 04)

Don't go back and watch OG's games from last week… Just take my word that they were not pretty.

Mid

PICK: Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen — Team Liquid — $310,000 (vs Dignitas & Counter Logic Gaming)

Even though his streak of 7 straight games with 20+ points came to an end over the weekend, I have no doubt Jensen will start another streak again this week. TL is the best bet for a 2-0 week of any team on the slate and gets to go against the LCS leader in Kills at the position (Pobelter) and Dignitas.

AVOID: Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer — Cloud9 — $350,000 (vs Golden Guardians & TSM)

It has now been 7 straight games of Nisqy failing to score 30 points in a game. If you are paying top-dollar for a player, 30 in a game should not be a greedy request.

Bot

PICK: Edward "Tactical" Ra — Team Liquid — $330,000 (vs Dignitas & Counter Logic Gaming)

Not including the absolute dud TL put up against FLY, Tactical has averaged 25.9 points per game in his last 8 games. He is Top 3 in the league in Kill Share % (among full-starters) as he has cemented himself as the Kill source for TL. Now that C9 and FLY are behind them, Tactical can get back to feeding on the LCS's lowly teams.

AVOID: Elias "Upset" Lipp — Origen — $310,000 (vs MAD Lions & FC Schalke 04)

Would you ever pay $310,000 to ride a rollercoaster that was busted a week ago? Yeah, me neither.

Support

PICK: Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme — Cloud9 — $180,000 (vs Golden Guardians & TSM)

You hate to see your Bot Laner on Sona, but you love to see it if you have the Support next to the Sona! Cloud9 is clearly experimenting a lot in the Bottom Lane. No matter where the experiment goes, it ends up always providing extra points opportunities for the Support (Lux, Senna). Even better, you know C9 will be able to win every game regardless of the experiment. Vulcan is extremely safe and can draft into a lot of upside.

AVOID: Jakub "Jactroll" Skurzyński — Origen — $90,000 (vs MAD Lions & FC Schalke 04)

Please don’t bring this name up again. Jactroll? More like JacTroll! Get it? #saltyweek7owner

Team

PICK: Team Liquid — $290,000 (vs Dignitas & Counter Logic Gaming)

I'm going to chalk the Flyquest loss as a result of TL looking ahead to the C9 match. Anyways, TL's opponents this week are the easiest they have had in a while and make for the best chances at a 2-0 week of any team on the slate. Take the safety.

AVOID: TSM — $230,000 (vs Evil Geniuses & Cloud9)

It is nice to see TSM back on track, but the chances at a 0-2 week are much more likely than 2-0 this week.
