Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, better known by his moniker Logic, recently announced his impending retirement from rap. However, that doesn't mean we won't being seeing Logic around thanks to the multi million dollar exclusive streaming deal he just signed with Twitch. “I’m not this rapper guy, man,” Logic said in an interview with The Verge discussing his signing with Twitch. “I’m just a nerd. I love video games.”

Logic just had his first son at the age of 30 only two days ago, but his age is lapped several times over by his work ethic in the music industry. The Maryland-born rapper American rapper has released five studio albums, one soundtrack album, six mixtapes, 36 singles (including 14 singles as a featured artist), and three promotional singles. Logic will be streaming on Twitch a set amount of hours per week, but has already said himself that he expects to exceed it more than once.

Twitch's partnership with Logic is the first exclusive deal the platform has signed with a musician, but the crossover between music and streaming has continued to grow in recent years. Since the lockdown of North America due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency in musicians streaming on Twitch as a substitute for live performances has increased dramatically.

However, this isn't the first time we've seen the integration of the top of the gaming and music verticals. Before his move to mixer, streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins streamed Fortnite with rapper Drake and broke the record at the time for most viewership on a single stream.

Logic will be premiering what he claims to be his final LP as a musical artist, No Pressure, live on his first Twitch stream at 5:00pm PT on Friday, July 24. His channel can be found at Twitch.tv/Logic.
