With Dignitas' loss to Golden Guardians in the last game of Week 6 of the League Championship Series Summer Split, Cloud9 and Team Liquid have secured their spot in the Playoffs. Both teams sit at 10-2, and with eight Playoff slots this Summer, they cannot lose enough games to miss Playoffs. Dignitas joined Immortals at the bottom of the standings, both sitting at 3-9, leaving them unable to eclipse C9 and TL.
Cloud9 was in first place most of the Split, going undefeated in the entire first round robin. However, they lost two games back to back to end Week 5 and start Week 6, and Team Liquid momentarily overtook them for first with their second victory of the weekend leaving them at 10-2. Cloud9 won the very next game, putting them back at first, leaving the teams tied well above the third place team, TSM, who sits three games below them.
No teams have been locked out of Playoffs yet, and with the extra two seeds, teams have a much better chance at securing Playoffs than before. Even for Immortals and Dignitas, despite being 3-9, they're currently only one game down from Playoffs.
