After spending a few weeks in Academy, Jason "WildTurtle" Tran is back in the League Championship Series as FlyQuest's starting Bot Laner. After Week 1 of the 2020 Summer Split, Brandon "MasH" Phan replaced WildTurtle on the starting roster, performing well with the team, going 4-2 in his first three weeks on the roster. However, last week, FlyQuest took their first 0-2 weekend, and the team is now making a swap back to the original roster.

In an interview with Inven Global's Parkes Ousley, FlyQuest's head coach, Lim "David" "DLim" Joo-sung stated that MasH "had different strengths, and we wanted to see how the team would operate with him compared to how they operate with Turtle." He further explained that WildTurtle was "still working really hard in Academy and still getting some scrim time for the LCS, so whatever fits best for the opponents we play that weekend will be the one playing for us."

FlyQuest have tough opponents this weekend, facing first place, Cloud9, and third place, TSM. TSM has made it's own bot lane roster swap as well, subbing in Erik "Treatz" Wessén for Vincent "Biofrost" Wang. TSM is coming off of their own 0-2 weekend, and Cloud9 is coming off of their only loss of the Summer Split, so the three teams will be hungry to turn things around.
