The two most important questions when building your E1 Fantasy Lineup: Who do I pick? Who do I not pick? Well, we heard you mumbling these questions to yourself and are giving you some help. Who to avoid is just as important as to who you flock towards as you need to make sure your whole lineup is set to pop-off, from Top to Team. We are giving you one player/team from each position to target and another one to run as far away from as you possibly can. Choose wisely!

Top

PICK:  Colin "Solo" Earnest — FlyQuest — $300,000 (vs 100 Thieves & Dignitas)

LEC players have historically always had more value than LCS players strictly because LEC games feature more fights. Nobody told Flyquest that. Flyquest as a team has more Kills on the season than any LCS or LEC team. Combine that with the fact that Solo has the highest Kill Participation of any full-time Top Laner, and you have a high ceiling and floor for the player. He is an absolute anchor for FLY, in-game and in fantasy.

AVOID: Sergen "Broken Blade" Çelik — TSM — $260,000 (vs Cloud9 & Immortals)

It seems like I’m in the minority here, but I expect C9 to stomp TSM, resulting in a one-game weekend for BB.

Jungle

PICK: Robert "Blaber" Huang — Cloud9 — $360,000 (vs TSM & 100 Thieves)

I was split between putting Santorin or Blaber here, which really is a nod to just how dominant Santorin has been producing all year long. Even though you can’t go wrong with either, there is no denying just how dominant Blaber has been. He is tied for the most Kills in the LCS (of ANY position) with 44, which is 15 ahead of 2nd place Santorin. And although he doesn’t need the motivation, you have to expect the ‘TSM upsetting C9’ storyline to fuel this MVP even more.

AVOID: Jake "Xmithie" Puchero — Immortals — $210,000 (vs Dignitas & TSM)

The only member of IMT that doesn’t get me excited. But that is what happens when your last 3 games feature 14 Deaths and just 2 Kills...

Mid

PICK: Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage — FlyQuest — $360,000 (vs 100 Thieves & Dignitas)

Who is Blaber tied with for the LCS lead in Kills? POE, baby! Wanna hear a crazy stat? CLG has played 8 games this split, POE has 6+ Kills in 6 of them! To put that in context, equal priced Mid Laner Nisqy only has 1 game of 6 Kills. This weekend his in-lane opponents are the LCS leader in Deaths (Ryoma) and a player who just died 9 times after getting the promotion from Academy. Points incoming!

AVOID: Søren"Bjergsen" Bjerg — TSM — $310,000 (vs Cloud9 & Immortals)

I do not think TSM can beat C9. However, I will admit that if TSM does beat C9 this week, this ‘Avoid’ will backfire immensely.

Bot

PICK: Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen — Cloud9 — $360,000 (vs TSM & 100 Thieves)

I mean, I don’t need to elaborate much here. Absolute stone-cold consistent production. Only scored under 20 points in a game once all season. Already has 5 games in which he did not die at all. But my favorite part of Zven this week is that I think C9 finally gets a good challenge this week with TSM. Bring on the fights!

AVOID: Bae "Bang" Jun-sik — Evil Geniuses — $300,000 (vs Golden Guardians & Counter Logic Gaming)

Everybody seems to focus on the 47 point Week 1 performance and ignore the fact that Bang has only scored more than 13 points once since then...

Support

PICK: Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun — FlyQuest — $300,000 (vs 100 Thieves & Dignitas)

If I am paying up for a Support, I want him to have a clear shot at a 2-0 and expect a lot of Kills in those matches. Flyquest has the two worst LCS teams this weekend and leads the entire LCS in Kills. Ignar and Vulcan are the only Supports that have proven they can lead the position on a weekly basis, and Ignar has the perfect schedule to do it for the second-straight week.

AVOID: Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam — Evil Geniuses — $140,000 (vs Golden Guardians & Counter Logic Gaming)

For a position that can be such a liability, I can’t take the ‘What EG will show up today’ risk at Support.

Team

PICK: Team Liquid —  $300,000 (vs Golden Guardians & Counter Logic Gaming)

It is an odd week when I can’t even get below $300k for my lowest priced heavily-favored 2-0 of the week. EG has too much risk, so TL is by floor here. Their wins have not all been pretty, but none of them have been flukes. They earn each scrappy win and I expect them to do the same against two teams below them in the standings.

AVOID: TSM — $260,000 (vs Cloud9 & Immortals)

For the last time, TSM is not going to beat C9! (I may end up regretting this repetition…)
