A couple weeks ago, the streaming community was hit with the shocking news that Mixer was closing their platform and moving to Facebook Gaming. Today, July 8th, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins held his first stream since his departure from Mixer on YouTube, peaking at 167,000 viewers and eclipsing his peak Twitch viewership from his last weeks on the platform one year ago.

This was Ninja's first ever YouTube stream, averaging around 100,000 throughout his hour and a half long live on the platform. He stuck to Fortnite throughout the stream, playing with other big name streamers like Timothy "TimTheTatman" John Betar, Jack "CourageJD" Dunlop, and Benjamin "DrLupo" Lupo.

Ninja fans have been asking if this confirms his signing to YouTube, but Rod "Slasher" Breslau reported that he had not yet signed any contracts. Ninja may be hopping around various platforms to test engagement levels and gain leverage across the board. All we can do now is keep watching and waiting to see where he pops up next.

For reference, Ninja's peak viewership rivals the entire Fortnite category on Twitch, which over the past few days has fluctuated between 150,000 and 190,000. Ninja has also been playing other games, like Riot Games' newest tactical shooter, VALORANT, which only has about half his peak viewership on average.

Ninja likely wouldn't fully double Twitch's Fortnite viewership if he rejoined the platform, but there's no question that he'd be a strong addition to whichever platform he streams on. Along with a report from Slasher, he's made it clear that he'd forgo the Facebook Gaming option Mixer put in place, and it's likely he ends up on one of the big two platforms, despite rumors (and memes) of him signing to the new platform, Brime.

This is a developing story, and Inven Global will update upon further development.
