On the 4th of July (KST), DAMWON Gaming defeated Hanwha Life Esports in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Split. It was a 2-0 match where DAMWON Gaming ended both games in 30 minutes. In the match, Heo “ShowMaker” Su and Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee were voted as players of the games and were interviewed by the casters’ desk.

How do you feel about today’s victory?

ShowMaker: It feels good that we can get off work early today.

BeryL: The win wasn’t that clean, but I do feel good about the win.

It’s already the fifth 2-0 victory for DAMWON Gaming.

ShowMaker: It seems that everyone wants to get off work early. So we’re trying hard to get everyone that works at LoL Park finish early [Laughs]. Last time, when we ended 2-0, CloudTemplar approached me with a wide smile and said, “Good Job!” He seemed to be the happiest for finishing early.

CloudTemplar: I like DAMWON Gaming’s games the most.

How was it playing against Shen support?

BeryL: When they first locked in Shen support, I was quite surprised but I think we dealt with it fine.

You still picked Pantheon support.

BeryL: There wasn’t much to play, so I picked what I was the most confident in.

ShowMaker’s doing great. Many people are saying that you’re the best mid laner.

ShowMaker: [Laughs] I don’t know about that. I’ll just do my best.

You picked Twisted Fate for the first time today.

ShowMaker: The reason I didn’t pick Twisted Fate was because we could win without it. It’s a great pick so I can play any time.

What do you think about the Keria-BeryL rivalry?

BeryL: I always think that I’m the last ranked support. So I always do my best.

You’re tied at the top of POGs with Bdd.

BeryL: I thought if I get the POG with Thresh, it would be the last day of the world. I got lucky today.

Your next match is against Afreeca Freecs.

ShowMaker: Up to now, when we lost, we lost 1-2 and when we won, we won 2-0. I’ll make sure we end work early against Afreeca Freecs.

BeryL: Afreeca Freecs are doing well so we’ll prepare well to win 2-0.
