Esports organization T1 has dropped Super Smash Bros. Ultimate professional player and content creator Jason "ANTi" Bates following anonymous allegations surfacing publicly. ANTi allegedly had relations with a minor in the past but has publicly stated that he is innocent and is preparing a statement regarding the allegations made against him.

While no statement has been made by T1 as of now, ANTi confirmed via Twitter that the team had called him to terminate their agreement with him due to the allegations. ANTi was hoping to seek legal council with T1's help, but is now apparently drafting a statement himself.

The allegations against ANTi also include mention of other pivotal figures in the competitive Smash scene. Allegedly, ANTi pressured the anonymous, at-the-time 15 year-old to lie about her age in social gatherings within the competitive Smash scene. Ryan "La Luna" Coker-Welch — known at the time as "the moon" — as well as D'Ron "D1" Maingrette and Richard "Keitaro" King Jr. alongside ANTi allegedly engaged in sexual relations with the anonymous victim while they were underage in 2016

Recently, multiple allegations against figures in the smash community involving relations with underage individuals have come to light. Cinnamon "Cinnpie" Dunson and Nairoby "Nairo" Quezada have also been accused of relations with minors within the Smash community. NRG Esports is currently investigating the situation involving Nairo, but T1 is the only organization to have made any type of move in terms of severing contracts at this time.

ANTi was signed by T1 as the organization's first venture into the Smash scene in April 2019. T1 has been expanding since Comcast Spectacor's merger with SK Telecom rebranded the organization in the way it is known today.

Based on his tweets, ANTi will be making a statement but is taking his time with since finding out he was dropped by his organization. This story will be updated with any statements from ANTi, T1, or any other involved parties.

UPDATE 7/2: T1 has issued a statement via Twitter regarding the termination of the organization's relationship with ANTi.

UPDATE 7/3: ANTi made a statement and tweets regarding the allegations leveled against him, primarily stating that he feels he's being targeted out of spite and that he'd be stepping back from the competitive Smash community and severing ties with members with whom he is not personally close. ANTi has since made his Twitter private after deleting all tweets and statements regarding the allegations, stating that he decided to speak to a lawyer before addressing the situation.
