In the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Split on the 25th (KST), DRX faced SANDBOX Gaming and Gen.G played DAMWON Gaming. DRX collected their third win of the season with a 3-game winning streak.

In Game 1 between DRX and SANDBOX Gaming, Varus was unbanned for the first time this season. DRX willingly picked Varus while SANDBOX Gaming countered with Senna-Maokai bot. Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu's Varus demolished SANDBOX Gaming's champions and DRX took the first game rather easily in 31 minutes.

SANDBOX Gaming showed a glimpse of how they were when they were strong last year. From a solid early game to fast snowballing, SANDBOX Gaming took the initiative in the Rift. DRX tried to make a difference through Twisted Fate and Graves, but failed time after time. Moon "Route" Geom-su's Aphelios and Kim "Dove" Jae-yeon's Karma was unstoppable. After a teamfight win around mid, SANDBOX Gaming evened out the game.

While the first two games were rather one-sided, the third game was quite close. First blood went to SANDBOX Gaming as Kim "OnFleek" Jang-gyeom's Trundle attempted a timely gank in mid lane. However, DRX didn't fall behind by collecting more CS. Although SANDBOX Gaming collected three dragons, Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon's Kennen had great moments to bring the game towards DRX. After slaying the second Baron, DRX marched in to end the game.

The second match was between Gen.G and DAMWON Gaming. The global gold difference was close all game, with Gen.G having the edge. During the mid game, Heo "ShowMaker" Su's Corki boasted his presence by bursting massive damage. However, it was Gen.G who collected the Cloud Dragon's soul. At the Elder Dragon fight, Gen.G collected an Ace with Kim "Clid" Tae-min's timely Kindred ult, which finished the game.

It was Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon’s Kennen who controlled the game. Nuguri had a bad start, giving up a solo kill to Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee’s Neeko. However, Nuguri came back and pushed ahead. After the second Rift Herald fight, Nuguri had the most gold among the two teams. In following fights, Nuguri’s timely ult gave DAMWON Gaming the lead. Although Gen.G stole the second Baron, DAMWON Gaming killed four of the Gen.G members and closed the game.

DAMWON Gaming picked one of their signature picks of this season: support Pantheon. Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee picked up first blood as Clid's Jarvan IV was caught sneaking into DAMWON Gaming's jungle. After the first kill, ShowMaker's Zoe picked up kills in top and bot lane and DAMWON Gaming pushed ahead. However, it was a massacre for DAMWON Gaming when Gen.G started to sneak Baron. Gen.G picked up four kills while giving up none and they turned the game around completely. As they collected the dragons well, Gen.G ended the game after securing the Infernal Dragon soul.
