On the 24th (KST), kt Rolster stopped their losing streak and collected their first win in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Split. Mid laner Lee “Kuro” Seo-haeng had a good performance today, playing Galio and Sylas. After the match, he sat with Inven Global for an interview.
How do you feel about today’s win?
It’s a relief that we got our first win of the season, even though it was after losing two straight games.
In the spring, you had a long winning streak after losing the first several games. Do you think you can do the same this time?
Our next match is against DAMWON Gaming. Their form is really good right now, so I can’t say for sure, but I can say that we’ll do our best to make this win into a winning streak.
ShowMaker is doing really well too. How do you think it’ll go?
For sure, ShowMaker’s in the best shape among the mid laners. I guess all I can do is play well, right? (Laughs) The player who’s in a better form between Ucal and I will play, so we’ll do our best.
You have an extremely wide champion pool. Do you have anything prepared up your sleeve?
I am preparing many things, but to use them, the situation has to be right. It’ll be different according to the situation.
Smeb is back and you two are in the same team for the first time since ROX Tigers. How is the chemistry?
Even if it’s been a while since we’ve been on the same team, we often met up with each other to chat. I think the chemistry is almost the same as before.
You talked a lot with GorillA recently as well. Is it similar?
All the ROX members are in their 8th or 9th year. There would be so much to talk about. It could differ from time to time, but we can go on forever. Sometimes we sing together in the team house.
Smeb had expressed his concerns about not playing the team game in a while. As a friend and teammate, how is he?
Smeb was always a great player; I think he’s in the process of bringing back his memory. I’m not sure how much, but I think he’s doing alright.
You picked Sylas today, which doesn’t appear that much in this meta.
During scrims, Sylas was alright. He’s one of the champions I play the most during solo queue. Sylas appears from time to time in the LPL. There’s a lot to keep in mind when playing Sylas; which ult to steal or when to use them. He’s a very versatile champion.
The last minute of today’s match was rather disordered. What happened?
Actually, we tried to do too many things all at once. Lee Sin went to kill the dragon and the rest pushed the inhibitor. At first, we were going to push the inhibitor altogether, but since they had three dragons already, we sent Bono to get the dragon. After the game, he grumbled that we would have just ended the game if all five of us just went together.
Even in the comms that was revealed, it seemed that the shotcalls were all over the place.
Yeah, it was worse before that. The revealed comms were just the tip of the iceberg.
Any last comments to the fans?
Thank you always for the love and cheers you send us. I don’t think a cure for the coronavirus would be developed during the summer season, but I really want to see you at the arena. We’ll do our best, so please watch and cheer for us in your comfy homes, lying down. Thank you!
