On the 24th (KST), in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Split, Team Dynamics played SeolHaeOne Prince and kt Rolster faced Hanwha Life Esports. It was the first day the LCK was played on the 10.12 patch.
The remade Volibear had his first LCK appearance in Game 1 of the first match. It was the first time ever he was picked in top lane in the history of the league as SeolHaeOne Prince Jeon “ikksu” ik-soo locked him in. However, the key player of the game was Team Dynamics jungler, Kim “Beyond” Kyu-seok. Whenever Team Dynamics laners were in a pinch, Beyond appeared and assisted them through the situation. Team Dynamics took all the objectives one-sidedly and took the win.
In Game 2, SeolHaeOne Prince locked in the Ezreal-Yuumi bot lane again, along with Graves which was still winless this season in the LCK. Although Team Dynamics scored first, SeolHaeOne Prince stayed close. After a few skirmishes, SeolHaeOne Prince turned the game around with ikksu’s Wukong’s splendid performance and secured Baron. With that, SeolHaeOne Prince finished the game in 28 minutes. It was the first win for Graves this season.
In the third game, it was Team Dynamics top laner Lee “Rich” Jae-won who locked in Volibear. It was different for Rich as he gained lane priority from the early game. Pressuring from the beginning, Team Dynamics snowballed their lead. Although SeolHaeOne Prince had the initiative in bot lane, the top-jungle difference became too big. Lee “Kuzan” Seong-hyeok’s Azir also performed well and Team Dynamics was able to secure their second won of the season.
Hanwha Life Esports responded with Kai’Sa-Nautilus bot against kt Rolster’s Aphelios in Game 1. The two teams’ fights were mainly around objectives. KT edged forward through the Jarvan IV-Galio-Taric combination. KT’s bot duo delivered a remarkable performance and Park “TusiN” Jong-ik was voted as the Player of the Game.
It was Hanwha Life Esports who took the first three dragons, but KT was ahead. In big and small skirmishes, KT came up on top and brought the global gold difference up to nearly 9K. KT won the fight prior to the fourth dragon and also secured Baron afterward. With the Baron buff, KT demolished Hanwha Life Esports’ inhibitors. Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho’s Mordekaiser was unstoppable. In the following teamfight, Hanwha Life Esports tried turn the game around, but the super minions were already hitting their Nexus. By the time they were able to clear the wave, Lee “Kuro” Seo-haeng arrived and ended the game.
