The first week of both the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split and 2020 League of Legends European Championship Summer Split have concluded. Every LCS team played two matches each and the LEC's new schedule featured a 3-day super week to start the summer. Now that the first week of competition has concluded, let's take a look at which players in the LCS and LEC were the top scorers in Inven Global's Esports One Fantasy League of Legends league.

Barney "Alphari" Morris led all Top Laners across LEC and LCS with 50.11 points in week 1. Origen's only win of the week was a triumph over reigning LEC champion G2 Esports in between two losses to SK Gaming and Misfits, respectively. Origen's three games were relatively lengthy on average — 39:36 vs. SK; 32:46 vs. G2; 31:01 vs. MSF — and Alphari's performances in the losses — 3/1/2 Aatrox vs. SK; 2/3/4 Renekton vs. MSF — were respectable performances given the circumstances.

Alphari's big performance came in OG's win against G2. Alphari's Gangplank faced off against Martin "Wunder" Hansen's Wukong and was instrumental in Origen's victory, breaking the G2 nexus alongside his team with a scoreline of 7/0/4.

JG — Robert "Blaber" Huang — Cloud9 (LCS)

Reigning LCS champion Cloud9 picked up right where it left off in spring with a 2-0 week. In its first match, Cloud9 defeated FlyQuest in a Spring Finals rematch before soundly walloping 100 Thieves in its second match. The tip of Cloud9's unbreakable spear was none other than Spring Split MVP Robert "Blaber" Huang, who Jungled his way to 51.45 points in two victories on Olaf.

Blaber's Berserker was the apex of Cloud9's compositions in week 1, selecting champions around the Olaf to ensure Blaber could play freely on his way to becoming the highest-scoring Jungler in week 1.

MID — Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro — Evil Geniuses (LCS)

Cloud9 was not the only team who came out of the gate right where it left off from spring. Evil Geniuses, who finished top 2 in the Spring Split and 3rd place in the Spring Playoffs, rolled through 100 Thieves and Counter Logic Gaming for a 2-0 week behind the immaculate play of Mid Laner Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro, who finished week 1 with a best-in-role 64.03 fantasy points.

Jiizuke was the highlight of both of Evil Geniuses victories. His 10/1/6. performance on Corki to begin the Summer Split against 100 Thieves was only topped by his surgical deconstruction of Counter Logic Gaming on Twisted Fate. Jiizuke finished week 1 with a 14/1/8 KDA and earned himself honors in the form of LCS Player of the Week.

BOT — Edward "Tactical" Ra — Team Liquid (LCS)

In his first LCS games after replacing Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng as Team Liquid's starting AD Carry, Edward "Tactical" Ra set the curve for Bot Laners with 63.15 fantasy points. Team Liquid's 2-0 started against TSM. Tactical, enabled by the clinical play of TL Jungler Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen's Trundle and Support Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in's Bard, went 7/0/6 on Aphelios against Doublelift's Kalista in what was just over a 25-minute victory for Team Liquid.

Tactical would then take Aphelios against Golden Guardians, this time opposing the Kalista of Victor "FBI" Huang, and finished the just over 40-minute game 5/1/4. Team Liquid was the only team in the LCS to start off 2-0 aside from Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses, and Tactical's consistent, high-scoring performance was integral to that success.

SUP — Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam — Evil Geniuses (LCS)

Jiizuke wasn't the only Evil Geniuses player to enjoy a great fantasy week to start the 2020 LCS Summer Split. EG Support Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam led his position across North America and Europe with 42.22 fantasy points. Zeyzal, known primarily for his playmaking on roam-centric engage champions, flexed his prowess on the enchantress picks popular in the bot lane in the current meta.

Against 100 Thieves, Zeyzal's finished with a 1/1/18 KDA on Yuumi on the way to Evil Geniuses' 34-minute victory. His Lulu was instrumental in keeping Bae "Bang" Jun-sik's Aphelios alive in the early stages of EG's second win of week 1 against CLG, which promptly ended under the 25 minute mark. Zeyzal's 2/1/24 KDA allowed him to put up impressive points from what is on average the lowest scoring role in fantasy League of Legends.

TEAM — SK Gaming (LEC)

In addition to each positional player scoring, teams in the LEC and LCS are also evaluated on a variety of factors. The highest-scoring team in week 1 of both Summer Splits was SK Gaming, who finished the first week of LEC with a 2-1 record and a team-best 62 fantasy points.

SK Gaming, who finished the 2020 LEC Spring Split in 9th place with a record of 4-14, started out the summer with a win by upsetting Origen. Superior compositional scaling, primarily in the form of Mid Laner Dirk "ZaZee" Mallner's Azir and AD Carry Juš "Crownshot" Marušič's Ezreal, allowed SK to take its time in dispatching of OG in just under 40 minutes.

SK Gaming's second victory of the week against FC Schalke 04 was much quicker. SK cracked Schalke's nexus before the clock hit the 30 minute mark. More impressively, SK would have finished the win with a perfect game if it were not for the sole kill Schalke was able to secure on the Trundle of Jungler Kim "Trick" Gang-yun.

SK Gaming's shortest game of week 1 was a 27:19 loss to MAD Lions, but a secure of a Dragon, a Rift Herald, and a 3/2/2 Corki game for ZaZee showed resilience even what ended in being a convincing defeat. SK Gaming's best-in-the-west week 1 score is indicative of the team's strong start to the Summer Split, and in a 3-game super week, the team has already reached half of its wins for the entirety of spring with 8 weeks left to play.
