Esports organization T1 has completed its roster for Riot Games' newly released tactical shooter VALORANT. T1 signed Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham, a former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional player, as the fifth and final player to round out its starting roster on June 3.

Skadoodle was signed by his first professional CS:GO team Curse NA under the Team Curse banner before the team was sold and became iBUYPOWER, but the majority of his career was spent as a member of Cloud9. Skadoodle played with C9 for over three and a half years before unceremoniously retiring at the conclusion of 2018. Skadoodle's joining of T1's VALORANT squad marks his return to professional esports.

The entirety of T1's roster is compromised of former professional CS:GO players. T1's signing of Braxton "Brax" Pierce on March 9, who was known as 'swag' during his CS:GO career, was the first competitive VALORANT signing ever.

T1 later signed  Keven "AZK" Larivière, a former CS:GO teammate of Brax's, was signed on April 7. Austin "crashies" Roberts was signed on April 24, and Victor "food" Wong joined the team on May 11. Another retired CS:GO pro, Daniel "fRoD" Montaner, was signed as the Head Coach of the team on May 7.

VALORANT has been in closed Beta since April 7, but Riot Games' success with League of Legends as a global esport and the games' universal interest across multiple gaming communities had the esports scene already developing before the title was released officially earlier this week on June 2.

T1 is the second organization to boast a full VALORANT squad after TSM announced its roster on May 22. Ninjas in Pyjamas converted the four players and Head Coach from its Paladins squad to the majority of a VALORANT roster, and Immortals has signed four of five players required to create a full team. The other organizations that have signed VALORANT talent thus far are Cloud9, 100 Thieves, and Sentinels.
