League of Legends player Júlia "Mayumi" Nakamura announced Free Agency, no longer being part of INTZ Esports. The player has taken the online gaming community by storm for playing in a mixed roster at Superliga ABCDE, in Brazil.
Starting off at a lower-tier league, the Support player was signed by INTZ as a substitute, bringing up the curiosity of fans if she would be starting in CBLoL in 2020. Mayumi was the third woman to compete in a professional League of Legends tournament in Brazil, at age 17.
In a series of tweets, Mayumi announces “Hello friends, I am bearing news. As of today, I am no longer part of INTZ. I will follow my path dedicating myself to streaming and personal projects. I do not have concrete plans for my future, but as of right now I find myself as a free agent”.
“I appreciate the support from my fans and teammates that have always encouraged me to have this career. It was a very special opportunity to make part of my dreams come true as a competitive player. I am grateful to every single one of you around the world”, said the support player, followed by a heartfelt message to fans, “Thank you for cheering me, if it was not for you guys, I would not be where I am today, I would not be as happy or feel so accomplished. My gratitude for you is immense, believe me. My path in esports does not end here. I count on you, as I always have. Thank you.”
