FlyQuest has advanced to the next round of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Playoffs with a victory over Golden Guardians. In losing to the 4th seed FlyQuest, 6th seed Golden Guardians is the first team to be eliminated from the post-season.

Golden Guardians put up a great fight in the first game of the series and stayed even with FlyQuest until the 40-minute mark.  However, the first game would prove to be the most contentious. Even early games from Golden Guardians were everpresent throughout the best-of-five series, but as the second and third games dragged on into later minutes, FlyQuest wrestled control and methodically closed out each win.

Can "Closer" Çelik and Lucas "Santorin" Larsen both performed admirably in the series, but mid lane differential ended up being the difference for both Junglers. GG Mid Laner Greyson "Goldenglue" Gilmer had some of his best performances of the season, but paled in comparison to FLY Mid Laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage, who made sure he seemed deserving of his 3rd LCS All-Pro Team n nomination at the very least.

FlyQuest has stayed alive after losing its first match of the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs to 2nd seed Evil Geniuses, but its road ahead after defeating Golden Guardians is long and treacherous.

5th seed TSM and 3rd seed 100 Thieves will face off tomorrow, with the loser joining Golden Guardians in elimination as the winner will fight to survive against FlyQuest. The winner of the subsequent match will be guaranteed a top 3 finish in facing the loser of the match between EG and 1st seed Cloud9.
